Enjoying a fall run along Cannon Beach, 2023.

Hello!

My name is Dom. I’m a data scientist, endlessly curious about why things work the way they do. This is where I share that curiosity, the projects it leads to, and a few personal milestones.

About Me

Outside of work I’m into sports, games, and sci-fi - I follow the NFL, NHL, and Premier League (my “big 3” are the 49ers, Oilers, and Man United). I (used to) play soccer, these days I run lots, attend some group fitness classes, and try out the latest and greatest in the world of applying generative models. Outside of hobbies and work, most of my time goes into my Master’s program, side project, and (of course) to my partner Vanessa and our dog Arlo. I also collect sports cards over at @goat.sportscards.

What I Do

I build decision-intelligence products - turning messy, ambiguous problems into models and tools that help people make better calls. As a Senior Data Scientist at lululemon, I’ve spent 8+ years shipping data products end-to-end, with a soft spot for causal inference (uplift, propensity, incrementality) and the question behind the question: not just what happened, but why, and what to do next. A hard problem with a real reward at the end is the thing I’d happily chase forever.

This June, I’m taking some of that work to Databricks’ Data + AI Summit 2026, speaking with a co-worker on how we modernized audience segmentation at lululemon - and where agentic AI takes it next.

Always Growing

Mid 2025, I moved from Vancouver to Seattle. Also in 2025, I started pursuing my Master’s in Analytics at Georgia Tech (OMSA). It’s not really for the credential - while I think a MsC will help with some career goals, I believe its important to always keep learning. As interesting as the program has been so far, I scratch the same itch with side projects like datarena, a full ML platform I build end-to-end exactly the way I think it should be done. If that resonates, I’d love to connect.
